In July 2014 the specialists of company performed fit-up of equipment and carried out functional and oil tests. Till the end of July the runner and spare parts will be packed and shipped to the station.
In addition to the runner, the plant produced a wicket gate, including a new turbine cover with shift ring, bottom ring and guide blades.
Today an erection of embedded parts of the hydro turbine is held in support of specialists of OJSC "Turboatom" and then the runner, wicket gate and other mechanisms of turbine will be erected.
According to the contract signed in December 2010, on the Kamskaya HPP "Turboatom" is carrying out a profound reconstruction of four hydro turbines No. 15, 16, 17, 18 of «Kaplan» type with nominal capacity of 21.8 MW and a diameter of runner 5 m. As a result of modernization the designed capacity of each unit will increase from 21.8 MW to 25 MW, the maximum capacity will be of 28 MW, reliability and environmental safety of units will also increase. Lifetime of turbines will increase by 40 years.
Supervision, participation in pre-commissioning and commissioning are also a part of liabilities of "Turboatom".
Since 1996 OJSC "Turboatom" has modernized 17 turbines on Kamaskaya HPP, the 18th in the final stage of production and erection.
