Rosneft Starts Boosting Gas Capacities in Novy Urengoy License Area

The overall volume of project investments will amount to approximately 5 bn rubles. The project implementation will provide for a nearly double increase in gas and gas condensate production capacity – from 4.3 mln cubic meters to 7.5 mln cubic meters per day. The enhanced facility is expected to reach the designed capacity in 2016.

Rospan International CJSC produces gas in East Urengoy and Novy Urengoy license areas of the Urengoy oil and gas condensate field. the field’s Achimov deposits are the deepest ones that are being developed in Yamal. The asset’s current reserves are estimated at 994 bcm of gas, 150 mln tonnes of gas condensate and 50 mln tonnes of oil.
