Turboatom has signed a contract for supply equipment for Dniester HPSPP

In accordance with the contract OJSC"Turboatom" will manufacture and supply a complete set of equipment for the reverse radial-axial turbine ORO170-B-730, including embedded parts, mortgages cone, stator, volute, runner, guide vanes, relays and mechanisms of the turbine. Weight turbine in its purest form is about 2 thousand tons. The company also will carry out supervision, participation in pre-commissioning and commissioning of the unit in operation.

Maximum capacity of hydraulic machines in turbine mode will be 330 MW in pump - 420 MW. The runner with diameter will be 7.3 m. This turbine will be the final step in the completion of the first phase of the Dniester HPSPP consisting of three hydroelectric units.

Start turbine is scheduled by the end of 2014. At this stage of design departments of enterprise have already implemented the project, in the production are embedded parts of the turbine.

Unique of data of hydro turbines is that they operate in "pump-turbine" regime and allow the use high storage at night hydro energy for power energy production during busy schedules of consumption. "Turboatom" is a pioneer of the design and manufacture of this type of equipment in the CIS. First circulating hydraulic machines were manufactured by the enterprise for Kiev HPSPP (Ukraine).
