Gazpromneft Aero expands its overseas presence to over 100 airports

Fuel is supplied to Gazpromneft Aero’s airline partners under a long-term agreement with the Italian oil and gas company ENI.

Gazpromneft Aero fuels aircraft in foreign airports under agreements with leading aviation fuel suppliers on local markets. Partnerships with national oil companies ensure that airlines get the best prices for fuel supplied on time in over forty countries of the world. The largest Russian airlines, including Aeroflot, Transaero, S7, Nordwind, Volga-Dnepr, Air Cargo Germany, Nordavia, Aviacon Zitotrans, and Ural Airlines, currently all take advantage of Gazpromneft Aero’s fueling services outside of Russia.

“Developing our fuel supply operations abroad is one of Gazpromneft Aero’s priorities. To this end, we recently have achieved significant success in developing long-term partnership relations with the largest Russian air carriers, working together with the leading aviation fuel suppliers on local markets. Under Gazpromneft Aero’s updated strategy, the company will expand its international sales network to 220 airports before 2025,” said Gazpromneft Aero CEO Vladimir Yegorov.

Gazpromneft Aero is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft. The company has been providing aircraft fueling services and selling aviation fuel at airports since January 1, 2008. Since December 2008, Gazpromneft Aero has been a strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in the field of aviation fuel supply.

Gazpromneft-Aero is the leading aviation fuel supplier on the Russian market in terms of its retail sales. In its operations, the company utilizes technologies that classify as “green,” meaning that they meet the highest fueling operations safety level.

The company sold a total of 209,000 tons of aviation fuel abroad in 2012, up 53 percent from the previous year.
