Land lease agreement signed for SVBR-100 reactors

The agreement was signed in presence of representatives of the Ulyanovsk Region Administration.
 
The subject matter is a separate plot of land of 15 hectares, which is adjacent to the territory of SSC NIIAR on the south-eastern side in Dimitrovgrad, (Ulyanovsk Region). According to the agreement, the lease period is 10 years; the land cadastral value is RUB 2.479 Million.
 
Governor of Ulyanovsk Region Sergey Morozov said: “For Ulyanovsk Region the SVBR-100 project is the apparent point of the socioeconomic growth of the region. In particular, in itself, operation of the pilot commercial power unit is the point of involvement and training of staff, including from other regions of Russia. Respectively, they will have to be provided with housing and appropriate infrastructure. Besides, in frames of the project implementation activities, AKME-engineering undertakes to build a road of about 3 kilometers in length to the power unit as well as two automated concrete-mixing plants. Also, in frames of the project, it is planned to create a state-of-the art production and technical facility to support construction of power industry facilities. The today’s agreement signing opens the doors for AKME-engineering to the site and the start of physical implementation of the project. With this, it is clear that the company, as the project customer, will have to solve a great deal of issues. The Ulyanovsk Region Government will provide maximum possible support in solving many of them.”
 
“According to the applicable standards and rules, the lease term of 10 years stipulated in the agreement is given for construction of the pilot commercial power unit, while the land plot itself was identified basing on the land plot selection record. When the power unit and all infrastructural facilities are in place and are in ownership of the project customer, we will have to sign a new land lease agreement with AKME-engineering for this land,” Vitaly Zvonkov, Head of the Regional Department of Rosimushchestvo for Ulyanovsk Region commented.
 
“Now, it can be stated that the pilot commercial power unit has acquired its physical site boundaries. However, this is not the terminal point of our cooperation with the Rosimushchestvo’s Regional Department for Ulyanovsk Region, as well as with the Dimitrovgrad City Administration. In future we will need land to build the construction support facility, which will be used to organize erection of the said pilot commercial power unit. I am confident that when the project is being implemented in series, we will manage to optimize the land occupied by nuclear power plants with SVBR-100 reactors,” Vladimir Petrochenko, Director General of AKME-Engineering noted.
