On behalf of ROSATOM the document was signed by Director General Sergey Kirienko and on behalf of Sberbank of Russia it was signed by Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer German Gref.
According to the document, the parties expressed their interest in the development and strengthening of the cooperation in financing the overseas projects of ROSATOM; financing export and import operations, including with a coverage of the Export Insurance Agency of Russia EXIAR; implementing state-of-the-art banking technologies for management of financial resources and products, which are developed in frames of liquidity management both in Russia and taking account of Sberbank’s affiliated banks network.
The parties expressed their confidence that the implementation of joint projects under this Agreement will facilitate solving global tasks of the nuclear industry development.

In frames of the global international expansion of both Groups the cooperation in the international market is a natural continuation of the well-established mutually beneficial relations. This fully reflects the Sberbank Group’s strategy of support of businesses of our clients through maximum efficient financial instruments in all countries and regions of our presence,” German Gref noted.
Sergey Kirienko said: “ROSATOM has launched a large-scale globalization program, which is called for to expand ROSATOM’s presence in the international markets. Cooperation with largest banks both in Russia and abroad is one of the most important factors of successful implementation of ROSATOM’s large-scale projects and development of the [nuclear] industry as a whole. Therefore, our partnership with the leading bank of Russia is of a strategic nature and designed for long term, including in the international markets.”
