Turboatom continues to work on manufacturing of the equipments for Starobeshevskaya TPP

At present diaphragms are in production on machining and on blading – rotor of low pressure, the shipment of these equipments is planned for August. The final stage will be the shipment of spare parts and accessories in September of the current year.

The project of the steam turbine K-200-130-1 modernization with the capacity of 200 MW will be carried out at Starobeshevskaya TPP manufactured by Leningrad Metal Plant (Russia). Under the terms of the contract concluded in October, 2011 JSC "Turboatom" will reconstruct the flow part of the low pressure cylinder with the replacement of rotor, diaphragms, frames, seals and middle part of the LPC body. After modernization the capacity of the unit will increase by 8 MW, the efficiency will increase to 88%. The performed works also will allow to reduce expenses of equivalent fuel by 26,1 g / kwh. The delivery date of the equipments – September 2013.

The contract also provides design and supply of the equipments, dismantling, construction and erection works, starting-up and adjustment and guarantee tests.

It is the fourth power unit of Starobeshevskaya TPP which will update "Turboatom". Earlier the plant reconstructed blocks No. No. 4, 5, 13 .

Starobeshevskaya TPP is a part of energy generating company JSC ‘’Donbasenergo’’. The rated installed capacity of the station – 2300 MW. The construction of the power plant was carried out from 1958 to 1967 three stages: 1 stage – total capacity of 300 MW (3 turbines with the nominal capacity of 100 MW); the 2nd stage – 6 blocks by 200 MW with the total electric power of 1200 MW; the 3rd stage – 4 blocks by 200 MW with the total electric power of 800 MW.
