Mastering the technology will enable the company to expand the assortment of fittings supplied to Gazprom and AK Transneft.
The horizontal boring CNC machine WFC 10 was made-to-order in the Czech Republic and is designed for machining the bearing faces of short radius bend pipes drawn through a horn-shaped core with a diameter of 720 or 820 mm, including those with a complex bevel configuration. The installation produces about 20 product units per shift. At present, the equipment is undergoing pre-acceptance at the manufacturing plant.
The project is a part of a comprehensive modernization program running at Magnitogorsk SOT production facilities; an induction heating press line was upgraded, and a band saw and a multihead machine were installed as part of the program. In 2012-2013, the certification of Magnitogorsk plant products in the certification systems of Gazprom and Transneft was achieved, and the first supply of the products to fuel and energy sector performed.
“From January to August of this year, shipments of SOT products to leading oil and gas companies amounted to a total of 9094 tonnes,” says Mikhail Zhamkov, Director of Sales, mains equipment commercial management, Rimera Group. “The sales volume is ensured by our participation in strategic projects, such as the Subarctic - Purpe oil pumping station, Uzbekistan - China, Southern Corridor, Bovanenkovo – Ukhta, Pelyatkinskoye oil and gas field, development of gas condensate wells in Yurkharovskoye field, various projects of Turkmengaz state concern. The new technologies and equipment will enable the company to offer its key customers the fullest possible product range of fittings that meet national and international standards.”
