The G-Drive Racing crew is led by Roman Rusinov, winner of multiple international prototype and Formula Junior races. Other crew members include Australian John Martin, four-time winner in the 2012 season, and Briton Mike Conway, British Formula 3 champion. The team is competing for the full season of the FIA World Endurance Championship under the Russian flag, using ORECA 03 Nissan cars in the LMP2 category. Victory in Texas means a second successive win for G-Drive Racing. Three weeks ago its drivers won a 6-hour marathon in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
“There are three stages left in the FIA World Endurance Championship. G-Drive Racing has every chance of taking the lead in the competition. The team is sponsored by new generation gas brand G-Drive, which has repeatedly performed well under endurance racing conditions. We want every Russian driver to feel that he is part of the major motor sports world, and experience the real power of his car’s engine when he uses G-Drive gas,” remarked Alexander Krylov, Director of Regional Sales at Gazprom Neft.
The next stop for G-Drive Racing is a competition in Japan on October 20. The final races of the Championship will take place in China and Bahrain.
