KazMunaiGaz and Schlumberger Signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Technical Cooperation

The document was endorsed by the signatures of Kurmangazy Iskaziev, Vice Chairman of the Board, Geology and Advanced Projects, KMG, and Gokhan Saygi, President, Schlumberger Russia and Central Asia.

The signed Memorandum determines such directions of cooperation as evaluating and optimizing the production at the existing KMG fields (Botakhan, Karazhanbas, Kotyrtas North/Moldabek, Mokat East, Nurzhanov East/West (Prorva) and Kamyshitovoe Southwest), using advanced exploration methods, increasing the field development quality, enhancing oil and gas production and improving well abandonment procedures.

In addition to the above, the Companies agreed on the cooperation in advanced training of KMG technical specialists at Schlumberger facilities and training centers.
