The first forty-one graduates represent both LUKOIL Overseas and other LUKOIL's entities and divisions. Most of the students are between 28 to 45 years old. The main training objective is to nurture leaders capable of managing major oil and gas projects in an effective way.
The course lasted for thirteen months and included 8 six-day modules and one offsite internship module. The basis program subjects with Executive MBA status were: management of operating companies, assets and project teams; making strategic decisions; financial management, analysis and risk ranking; adaptation to abnormal situations; innovative process development; strategic communications; negotiating skills.
The scholars from Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, New Economic School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), INSEAD, Oxford University, Columbia University, Chicago University, University of Hong Kong, Kellogg school of management and other leading Russian and international universities and business schools were engaged as instructors.
The offsite module included internships at major international oil companies in USA and Netherlands.
Forty percent of the program was the work on class projects resulting in action-oriented proposals to improve business-process that should be applicable to the company's activities.
In his address to the program students, LUKOIL Overseas President Andrey Kuzyaev expressed confidence that they would become the gold pool of managers, highly competent and with business leader skills.
The second batch of Leader program students (forty-one people) has started training in October. The training will be completed by November, 2014.
