The turbine K-1250-6.8/25 is a turbine of new generation combining experience of OJSC "Turboatom" in creation of "low-speed" high capacity turbines by 1500 rpm and new technical solutions.
K- 1250 is a three-cylinder steam turbine consisting of a combined cylinder HIPC (high and intermediate pressure) and two double-flow LPC (low pressure). Turbine plant has the efficiency no less than 37.5 % and high reliability, availability reaches 0.99 %. Equipment of the last stage of low-pressure cylinder with blades with a length of 1650 mm and exhaust area of 23.6 m2 is among new design solutions. Weld-forged high and low pressure rotors are also used in design of the turbine not undergoing stress corrosion. High maintainability and extending of turnaround time over 6 years are also advantages of the unit.
Typical power plant with reactor WWER -TOC is a two-unit NPP performed in the modern information environment and in full compliance with the highest requirements to nuclear and radiological safety. High level of autonomy of NPP under emergency operation and low indicators on the volume of solid radioactive wastes and emissions are characteristics of the reactor WWER -TOC. The service life of these units will be 60 years. It is supposed that the reactors of this type will replace retiring power units of old NPP such as Kurskaya NPP in Russia.
