One more photovoltaic mini-plant was commissioned in Belorusneft

Декабря 16, 2013

A pilot project on the implantation of renewable energy sources was implemented at the Belarusian Gas Processing Plant.

The specialists of a German manufacturing company mounted a small energy plant, based on photovoltaic panels with total capacity of 40 kW, on the roofs of the administrative building and central warehouse of the plant. Implementation new and renewable energy sources is regulated by the Concept of  Energy Development of the Association Belorusneft until 2015, and it also goes together with the fundamental principles of the environmental policy of the enterprise of Belarusian oilmen.

The mini-plant comprises 160 photovoltaic panels. The operating life of this modern equipment is 25 years. The equipment has with a monitoring system. It gives an opportunity to see in real-time the current capacity, amount of generated energy from the launch as well as design amount of substituted carbon hydroxide at the generation of energy by conventional methods, i.e. by burning fuel.

The mini-plant of the Belarusian Gas Processing Plant is not the first facility using solar energy constructed by oilmen. Solar panels provide energy for filling station No. 60 in Silichi, No. 75 in Gomel, and No. 64 in Ivanovo, Brest region. Solar collectors are also used in this region at two filling stations for the needs of hot water supply. Solar energy is used at other facilities of Belorusneft. The plans provide for the construction of more powerful photovoltaic stations, including in the territory of the Belarusian Gas Processing Plant (3.6 MW), and new “solar” filling stations.
