Based on results of 2013, CCP Kuznetskaia was marked with excellent performance, having increased the volume of coal processing and the volume of commercial concentrate production by 12% and 9% respectively compared to the previous year. The plant was able to improve its output values thanks to installation of new equipment, automation of coal preparation process, and usage of new chemical agents for coal preparation. For example, two automated jiggers ОМ-318М were installed at the plant; crushing- and-milling unit was installed on a car dumper that resulted in reduction of coal unloading time from railway cars during winter season. In August 2013, CCP Kuznetskaia has processed the record volume of run-of-mine coal for the last five years – over 500 thousand tons in one month.
CPP Abashevskaia has also beaten 2012 output values. The plant has increased the volume of coal processing and the commercial output by 8% and 15% respectively. That was made possible due to operational improvements and modernization of processing equipment. In 2013, chamber-membrane and chamber filter presses were put into service, modernization of the plant’s jigging shop was completed, a new high-powered blower TV-200 and a new elevator ETN-8 were installed.
“We have managed to improve production performance of our coal preparation plants not only at the expense of the equipment upgrade, but also thanks to professional and well-coordinated work of our staff”, noticed Sergey Stepanov, General Director of Yuzhkuzbassugol. “We are now facing a challenge to improve efficiency of coal processing and benefication. Our competitive performance depends directly on the product delivery quality”.
Today, coal preparation plants of Yuzhkuzbassugol produce coal concentrate types “GZh” and “GZh+Zh”. Commercial products are supplied to EVRAZ iron and steel plants located both in Russia and abroad as well as to the domestic market.
