48“, Class 150-300 ball valves will be shipped in May to Petrofac Ltd, one of the world's largest engineering and EPC companies. The company operates an extensive network of offices in 28 countries of the world, including the Gulf States, which hold the greater share of the world's proven reserves of oil.
The order totals over EUR 940,000. The valves will be used for the construction of an oil refinery in Jazan, third largest Red Sea port. The project will be completed in 2016. The refinery will produce more than 400,000 barrels of refined oil per day. The refinery construction project is a part of an integrated development program covering the country's South-Western region.
“Saudi Arabia is a country of huge oil reserves, which is actively developing its oil refining industry. We first began to cooperate with Saudi Aramco 5 years ago. Since then Rimera's Czech factory has shipped more than 1,500 valves worth nearly EUR 6 million to Saudi Arabia. This year our cooperation is continuing. As of now we already have 13 contracts in which Saudi Aramco is the end client. All these orders combined, the state-owned company plans to purchase around EUR 3.3 million worth of valves,” says Vladimir Kononov, MSA Chairman of the Board, speaking of his company's cooperation development plans for 2014.
