OMZ-Special Steels comes back to the market of pipe arbors for pipe rolling mills

Pipe arbors made for Taganrog Metallurgical Works are an experimental batch of blanks, produced by OMZ-Special Steels under a cooperative R&D project with Prometey Research Institute. The project is named “Technology development and production implementation of pipe arbors made of steel grade 4Х5МФ1СА for oil-quenching pipe rolling mills”. In addition to technology development and production implementation of pipe arbors made of steel grade 4Х5МФ1СА, this project comprises production and testing of the first experimental batch of blanks, and development of technical requirements for design and production of shaft furnace heat treatment equipment.

OMZ-Special Steels is the largest Russian manufacturer of special steel metallurgical blanks. The company was founded in 2002 and based on Izhorskiye Zavody metallurgical complex, which had experience in pipe arbor production. The successful execution of the project will allow OMZ-Special Steel to come back to the market of pipe arbors for pipe rolling mills.
