JSC PIMCU Director General Sergey V. Shurygin re-elected to three-year term

Sergey V. Shurygin was for the first time elected JSC PIMCU Director General on February 24, 2013. “During the previous year, Sergey Vyacheslavovich proved himself to be a competent manager. The Industrial Union has achieved significant successes both in its major area of activity and in the implementation of the Krasnokamensk socio-economic development programme,” emphasized Vladimir Verkhovtsev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC PIMCU and Director General of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.

Sergey V. Shurygin was born on October 20, 1964. He graduated from the Sverdlovsk Mining Institute with a degree in Construction of Underground Facilities and Mines.
From 1987, he worked in the positions of mine foreman associate and underground mine foreman on Site No. 1 of Shakhtostroy (the Mine Construction Division) at Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union. From 1990, he held the position of underground site supervisor of the Shaft-Sinking Department of the Shakhtostroymontazh Group (the Mine Construction and Installation Group) at Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union.
In 1996, he was appointed deputy chief engineer of the PIMCU Mine Construction Division and then – chief engineer of this Division. From 2007, he was Deputy Director for Capital Construction of the PIMCU Uranium Mining Directorate. In 2009, he was appointed Deputy Director for Operations and Mining Works of the PIMCU Directorate. From 2010, he was chief engineer of the PIMCU Uranium Mining Directorate. In 2011, he was appointed First Deputy Director General – Director for Operations of PIMCU. In 2013, he was elected PIMCU Director General.
