On the power-line crossing, four towers will be installed. Some of them will be as high as 100 meters.
Currently, fiber-optic communication lines are being installed on site as part of the project. Due to that fact, power supply schemes of the South and the Central districts of the Komi Republic need to be adjusted from March 19 to April 6, 2014 to enable performance of works.
During the abovementioned period, power supply to socially important consumers is and will be regarded with the utmost care. Emergency power sources are provided for such consumers. Commissioning of a new communication line will provide power engineering companies of the region with new communications circuits and will make it possible to activate the emergency control automatics and the process control system elements at “Mikun” and “Ukhta” substations 220kV.
Construction of “Pechora GRES – Ukhta – Mikun” line is scheduled to be completed in 2015. For the remaining time, the contractors will construct the segment “Pechora GRES – Ukhta” 253 km long, and will expand the 220kV outdoor switchgear installed at Pechora GRES.
