In March 2014, the specialists of OJSC "Turboatom" manufactured and shipped 4 modules of the second case, 4 remaining modules have already been made, handed over to the customer and they are about to ship. In February, 8 modules of the first condenser case were shipped previously.
Under the contract signed in 2013 OJSC "Turboatom" will replace two condensers with piping systems made of copper-nickel alloys for turbines with the capacity of 500 MW for modular condensers with stainless piping systems for Novovoronezhskaya NPP. It will able to improve the water chemistry condition at the power plant, eliminate leak in the water space and air inflow in the vapor space of the condenser. As a result, operation life of the equipment is expected to improve and its efficiency, reliability and safety are expected to increase.
The scope of obligations of the enterprise includes design, manufacture and supply of the equipment with the following installation of supervision.
The start-up of the power unit is planned for 2014.
