As a result, a greater number of Russian investors, including companies managing pension savings and insurance reserves, will be able to trade the Company's shares.
“Being a stable, transparent and investor-friendly company – these qualities make Gazprom stand out. That's why the transfer of Gazprom's shares to the QL A2 is another important step towards increasing the Company's capitalization and liquidity of securities,” said Elena Mikhailova, Member of the Management Committee, Head of the Asset Management and Corporate Relations Department of Gazprom.
“Gazprom's shares are still a very appropriate investment option in Russia. For quite a while the Saint Petersburg Exchange has been the only place to trade Gazprom's shares. The transfer of Gazprom's shares to the QL A2 proves that the issuer makes every effort to streamline its corporate governance system as well as risk management policy,” noted Evgeny Serdyukov, Director General of the Saint Petersburg Exchange.
