State Grid Corporation of China will build a wind farm in Yakutia

A meeting was held between Gavril Levin, the First Deputy Minister of Housing, Public Utilities and Energy of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), representatives of RAO UES of the East, Yakutskenergo JSC, and representatives of the State Grid Corporation of China. Hee Lidun, the representative of the State Grid Corporation of China, shared his plans of construction of a wind farm in the coastal regions of Yakutia.

“Our specialists are planning to visit the coastal regions of Yakutia to carry out some research and testing. This May, Liu Zhenya, the Chairman of the Board of SGCC will attend the summit of Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership (GSEP) in Moscow to negotiate common development of wind power resources in the Arctic region with Alexander Novak, the Minister of the Energy of the Russian Federation”, said Hee Lidun.

Also, the SGCC representative added that “if the projects are implemented, they will greatly benefit the local economy”.
