Tripolskaya TPP has commissioned a turbine manufactured by "Turboatom"

In April 2014, preparations for launching of the turbine began at power unit supported by the specialists of the enterprise. Pre-commissioning operations began in May 2014 and Act of preliminary putting power unit into commercial operation was signed on May 16. During complex tests, the turbine confirmed reliable and stable operation; all characteristics correspond to the norm. The increasing in capacity will be continued at the unit up to the nominal capacity of 325 MW. After that guarantee tests will be carried out confirming the capacity and heat rate of the turbine.

Under the contract signed in July 2011, OJSC "Turboatom" modernized K-300-240-2 steam turbine replacing high and intermediate pressure cylinders of (HPC, IPC) and the first flow of low-pressure cylinder (LPC), diaphragms and the last 5th stage LPC moving blades at the unit No. 2 of Tripolskaya TPP. As a result, K-300-240-2 turbine exhausted its resource is replaced for K-325-23,5 unit.

The aim of modernization is to improve technical and economic characteristics of the turbine and the unit as a whole as well as the extension of operation life. The supply of equipment was completed in March 2013.

In addition to design works, manufacture and supply of equipment, "Turboatom" provided supervision installation and participation in pre-commissioning.

Six K-300-240-2 turbines were installed from 1967 to 1972 at Tripolskaya TPP manufactured by OJSC "Turboatom".
