MSA has been awarded the contract for deliveries of pipeline valves to the Mexican market after being declared the winning bidder in a competitive bidding process in April-May of this year. This coming August, MSA will deliver a batch of welded ball valves with metal-to-metal seals to the Mexican company PEMEX (Petroleos Mexicanos) – the largest petroleum and petrochemical company in South America. The contract is for Class 300 valves 4 to 12 inches in diameter.
“Expansion to the Mexican market is one of Rimera Group's strategic goals for 2014. The Central and South American region in general is very promising. The Mexican market for pipeline valves has an immediate need for welded ball valves with metal-to-metal seals, which happen to be MSA's specialty,” says MSA Management Board Chairman Vladimir Kononov.
Rimera's Czech asset is currently in negotiations with other Mexican companies, such as Tubrivalco, Turbomex, Emerson Mexico, and Odebrecht.
