As part of the annual audit of the quality management system for conformance to ST RK ISO 9001-2009, auditors of the independent certification authority QS Azia Sertik have evaluated the performance of all business units of the plant and have not detected any violations.
ST RK ISO 9001-2009 is a national standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Pipeline Bends has been certified in this system since 2005. For many years, the republic's fuel and energy companies are the traditional buyers of pipe bends made by Rimera's plant. Products of Pipeline Bends along with transmission pipeline equipment made by the Group's Czech asset, MSA, have been used in construction of the Atasu-Alashankou, Uzen-Atyrau-Samara, and Central Asia – China pipelines, among others. As previously reported, Pipeline Bends has shipped more than 60 tonnes of products for energy and utility projects in Kazakhstan since the beginning of 2014.
“Regular independent audits are not just a mandatory condition of our cooperation with the key accounts. They help to develop the plant's quality management system, improve management of production process flows, and gain a leg up on the competition,” says CJSC Pipe Bends Executive Director Leonid Malamud, adding: “Also scheduled for this month is a recertification audit by the Russian Register certification association for conformance to QMS requirements of Gazprom Company Standard 9001-2012 and an API audit for conformance to ISO 9001:2008.”
