Far-Eastern Distribution Company will build new cable power lines up to “Vostochnaia” CHP plant

The new lines will connect the new power plant with the existing substations of the city.

On the total, four new power transmission lines 110kV will be built. The HV line route will go through two neighborhoods of Vladivostok, Sovetsky and Pervorechecnky. The lines will be laid underground at the depth of 1.5 meters, and their total length will be over 8 kilometers.

Construction and installation works will be performed by Hydroelectromontazh JSC, Blagoveshchensk, and MontazhElectroService LLC, Krasnoyarsk who had won the tender earlier. The value of the contractor agreements amounted to RUB 163.5 mln and RUB 95.2 mln respectively. The works are scheduled to be completed in March 2015.

As of today, dismantling of auxiliary facilities and the exhaust stack on the premises of the future “Vostochnaia” CHP plant is fully completed. Works are currently being performed for deconstruction of the main building of the old boiler house; piles are being driven for the second fuel oil tank; the site is being prepared for construction of the plant’s main building. About 100 workers and 25 units of equipment are daily engaged on site.

The capacity of the new combined heat and power plant will amount to 139.5 MW of electric power, 421 Gcal/hr and 11 Gcal/hr of thermal power in terms of hot water and steam, respectively. The plant commissioning is scheduled for 2015. Natural gas will be used as fuel. Commissioning of “Vostochnaia” CHP plant will satisfy about 20% of electric load of the city.
