This granted certificate confirms the important role of the software asset management processes, absence of non-licensed software and efficiency of the SAM processes.
This event may be regarded as a milestone – it is the first certificate of compliance with the international standard for software asset management in Russia.
“The significance of the SAM processes is growing every year while the questions on quality and quantity of the acquired software are raised more and more frequently. It is necessary to set the right order in the software management area, and it is not only important but vital. We are pleased to know that E.ON Russia became the first Russian organization in the IT history to treat the implementation of the SAM processes so thoroughly which, no doubt, had an impact on the quality of the processes implemented. Being awarded this certificate is an excellent proof that the efforts of the company aiming to increase the SAM processes efficiency were not in vain,” points out Kirill Alifanov, E.ON Russia Director of Business Processes and Information Technology.
