INPP was allowed to Commence Implementation of Unit 2 Turbine Hall equipment dismantling and decontamination

The modification of license conditions allows the enterprise to commence INPP Unit 2 Turbine Hall equipment dismantling and decontamination (project  В9-1(2)).

After INPP Unit 2 shutdown most of the Turbine Hall systems and equipment can be dismantled. Only general systems of the plant remain in operation, as well as systems providing normal operational conditions of the systems and buildings remaining in operation (heating and ventilation, lighting and fire fighting systems, drainage system, etc.). About 18 000 tons of equipment most of which will be turbines and turbines system components, pumps, valves and pipelines, will be dismantled and decontaminated after the implementation of B9-1(2) project. The project must be completed in 2021 June.
