In order to discuss cooperation of the parties, on 16-18 June 2014 the delegation of OJSC "Turboatom" visited the company "Siemens" in Mülheim (Germany).
General Director of OJSC "Turboatom" Victor Subbotin and representatives of "Siemens" Sven Werner and Daniela Heidtmann signed an agreement under which the companies would prepare a joint proposal for a project WWER-TOI for supply of equipment for turbine hall of nuclear power plants.
In the scope of supply: a turbine with the capacity 1250 MW at 1500 rev/min – OJSC "Turboatom" and generator - "Siemens".
According to chief designer of steam and gas turbines Viktor Shvetsov, such a project is proposed for the Russian plants Kurskaya NPP-2 and Smolenskaya NPP-2. "Experts of "Turboatom" and "Siemens" could adapt the turbine to generator, - said the chief designer - that corresponds to the pre-assignement of the customer. Currently, we are working together at layout solutions of installation of the turbine and generator in the machine hall."
In 2014, companies held their technical presentation for an engineering company OJSC "NIAEP" (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia) - the general designer of the NPP.
