Site electrification contract signed between Fennovoima and Siemens

Fennovoima and Siemens signed a contract June 25th regarding the electrification of the power plant site in Hanhikivi headland. This is the first signed contract concerning the overall construction works at the power plant site.

Earlier in June the construction of a land cable connection was started, and now Siemens will continue the work by building a substation to provide 20kV and 400V electric power distribution to the construction site.

Planning phase will start in August and the actual construction will begin in the end of 2014. The site electrification will be finished in April 2015.

The site electrification will be built for Fennovoimas own requirements. Later, when the construction of the actual power plant begins, Rusatom Overseas will build its own site electrification.
