“Vitaly Butenko will be in charge of further development of our commercial function,” said DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko. “Today, DTEK is one of the largest Ukrainian energy traders. Our coal is consumed by power plants and industrial companies in Europe, Asia, Northern and Southern Americas, and Africa. Our electricity is supplied to Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Poland, Moldova, and Belarus. In this difficult time, our main objective is to retain the trust of our partners and strengthen Ukraine’s position in the external energy market. I am confident that Vitaly’s return to our team will be an incentive for the development of the trading function and expansion of markets for Ukrainian energy commodities. We appreciate the contribution of Andrey Favorov in the development of DTEK’s trading arm. We sincerely wish Andrey every success in his career.”
Andrey Favorov left the company on 27 June 2014. He was relieved from his duties of the Commercial Director and the member of the DTEK’s Management Board.
“I would like to thank DTEK and its management for the opportunity to fulfil the company’s ambitious plan and build up a world-class trading function in Ukraine. Over the past four years we managed to establish a system for export of Ukrainian coal and electricity, trading in energy resources countrywide, import of natural gas in 2013 and ultimately to form a first-class team of traders. I am sure that DTEK’s Commercial Division will achieve even greater results with a new director. I will focus on development and successful implementation of own business projects in Ukraine’s energy sector,” Andrey Favorov said.
