The main purpose of the visit – to discuss over the possibilities to encourage more active collaboration in the Radioactive Waste Management Agency (RATA) project “Support for Rata in Preparation to Operate Very Low Level, Low and Intermediate Level Short Lived Waste Landfills” and receive the equipment and expert consultations required.
IAEA experts have met the management of the enterprise, were introduced to INPP radioactive waste management methods, radionuclides measurements performed etc. Experts have visited the Liquid Radioactive Waste Cementation Facility, Free Release Facility (B10), Very Low Level Short Lived Radioactive Waste Buffer Storage Facility (B19-1) and Radiochemistry Laboratory.
