At the opening E.ON recognised the hard work of Natural Power’s Project Manager Kerr Willis with the presentation of a ‘Comprehensive Provision of Project Management’ award.
The international renewable energy consultancy has provided E.ON with a suite of services on this 25 turbine site located between Lybster and Watten in Caithness, Scotland. The company has worked on the site for over 10 years, most notably providing community liaison, Ecology & Hydrology services including extensive consultation with Scottish Natural Heritage leading to the successful consent of the project.
Natural Power also provided key construction project management and design advisory services to E.ON including Owner’s Engineer role. Acting in this role during both the pre-construction and construction phases of the project has allowed Natural Power to provide significant world leading services to E.ON, including:
Pre-construction planning services;
Tendering and contracting services Civil & Electrical (BoP), turbine supplier, forestry contractor;
Full construction management services for construction phase including monitoring progress, quality and managing the interface with all contractors;
Resident Engineer services;
CMD-Coordinator;
Ecological Clerk of Works and hydrological monitoring;
Geotechnical site investigations;
Turbine inspections
