According to the contract, OJSC "Turboatom" will develop design, project and technical documentations, manufacture and supply two K-330-23,5 steam turbines in a complete set for reconstruction of the power unit No. 6 for Slavianskaya TPP. The scope of works under the contract also includes both the supply of auxiliary equipment and spare parts, and a complex of works – tests and adjustment.
The start-up of power units with new turbines is planned for March 2017 (unit No. 6) and for March, 2018 (unit No. 6a). The power plant has been working on preparation of reconstruction of the preserved power unit No. 6 for thermal power plant with division into two units with the capacity of 330 MW each using circulating fluidized bed firing technology (CFB) since August, 2013.
Slavianskaya TPP became the first power plant in Europe and the Soviet Union where power units with the capacity of 800 MW each one on supercritical parameters of steam were installed in 1963. Slavianskaya TPP has one power unit No. 7 with the capacity of 800 MW as a part of operating equipment.
The power plant is located in the north of Donetsk oblast on the right bank of the River Severskiy Donets.
