Izhneftemash Passes Audit by the American Petroleum Institute

Izhneftemash Plant, part of Rimera Group, has successfully passed an audit of its quality management system for conformance of its quality management system to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 international standard and American Petroleum Institute specifications API Spec Q1 and API Spec 11AX applicable to quality management systems of industrial companies in the oil and gas industry.
Over the course of one week, API auditors inspected all of the main plant divisions, and additionally audited the subsurface sucker rod pumps shop for conformance to API Spec 11AX certification requirements.
“Consistent efforts aimed at improving the quality management system help us to keep our products competitive on the market and respond to customer needs flexibly,” says Izhneftemash Executive Director Sergei Shunin.
The next certification audit of Izhneftemash plant is scheduled for 2015. It will check conformance of the QMS to the new version of the American Petroleum Institute's specification, API Spec Q1 v.9, which applies new requirements to risk management and off-specification products.
As reported earlier, in May 2014 SOT, another Rimera Group asset—Pipe Bends Plant (SOT)—also successfully passed its quality management system certification audit for conformance to API standards.
