Turboatom has manufactured and shipped embedded parts for Dnepro HPP-II (Ukraine)

In July 2014, the specialists of the enterprise manufactured, handed over to the customer and shipped embedded parts of hydraulic turbine. Further, the plant will make runner, guide vane and other turbine mechanisms.

Under the contract signed in 2011, OJSC "Turboatom" performs the modernization of three propeller type turbines No. No. 11, 17, 18 replacing for Kaplan-type hydro units for Dnepro HPP-II. After the modernization the unit capacity of turbines is expected to increase from 115 MW to 122 MW, the average efficiency is likely to reach 93,5%, and the runner diameter is expected to increase from 6,8 to 7 m.

"Turboatom" is fulfilling the turnkey contract, the scope of obligations of the enterprise includes designing, manufacturing, supply of the equipment as well as installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning turbines.

Previously, the hydrounit No. 11 was put into operation after the modernization in 2013.
