Under the contract signed in 2011 OJSC "Turboatom" modernizes three propeller-type turbines No. No. 11, 17, 18 replacing with Kaplan type hydrounits for Dnepro HPP-II. After modernization the unit turbine capacity is expected to increase from 115 MW to 122 MW, the average efficiency will reach 93,5% and the runner diameter is likely to increase from 6,8 to 7 m.
The start-up of hydrounit is planned for January 2015.
