Rimera's Czech Asset to Supply Products to Atomstroyexport

Августа 04, 2014

MSA Plant, part of Rimera Group, will manufacture a batch of pipeline valves to be used in construction of Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant.

In July, Rimera's Czech asset was declared the winning bidder in a tender to select a supplier of valves for power unit No. 1 of Belarusian NPP. The valves will be delivered to Atomstroyexport, the general contractor on the NPP construction project.
MSA will be supplying over 100 butterfly valves 20" to 40" in diameter. The contract price exceeds EUR 800,000.
“MSA has been delivering valves to Atomstroyexport, part of Rosatom Group, since 2002. Over the years we have supplied more than 1,300 units worth over EUR 9 million. Atomstroyexport is our biggest customer in the nuclear power engineering segment,” says MSA Management Board Chairman Vladimir Kononov.
Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant is the first NPP in Belarus. Construction is underway outside the community of Ostrovets in northwestern Belarus. Power unit No. 1 construction commenced in late 2013. Construction of the second power unit began this year. Both power units are expected to enter service by 2020. Belarusian NPP has a design capacity of 2,400 MW.
