Synchronization with power grid is an important preparation step preceding the reliability run of the power unit. At that stage, manufacturing parameters of the power unit such as voltage, frequency, etc. must correspond to similar values of the power grid. Such correspondence is a required condition for hooking the power unit into the electrical network and for generation of electrical power.
After the synchronization with the power grid, the power unit 1 has accumulated the maximum load 149 MW and withheld it for one hour. All works were performed successfully. Soon, a reliability run of the power unit 1 of Novokuznetskaya GTPP will be carried out. Then, similar works will be performed at the second power unit.
Upon successful completion of the reliability run of both power units which is scheduled for August, Novokuznetskaya GTPP will be commissioned.
It is to be recalled that a gas-turbine power plant 298 MW in Novokuznetsk was built as part of the investment program of Siberian Generating Company. The plant will operate in the mode of continued readiness of gas-turbine units to serve the peak loads of Kuzbass power grid. The GTPP commissioning will improve reliability of operation of the whole power grid of the Kemerovo region.
