The equipment is designed for carrying out tests on determining mechanical properties of metals and alloys by the Charpy method on samples of details of external deliveries and castings of own production, as well as on samples of various details of welded joints. The impact testing machine is equipped with cryochamber for testing examples at lowered temperatures.
The advantage of this equipment is its large resolving power. The impact testing machine will allow performing tests in a wider energy range even being beyond the scope of generally accepted GOST 9454-78. The lower energy measuring point is 0,4J at a standard store of 300J, thus GOSTs permit to work in the old systems lower 30J. Thanks to it the staff of laboratory will be able to define more precisely cold brittleness and safety margin of material at low temperatures.
Implementation of Instron impact testing machine will give an opportunity to increase reliability and accuracy of received results as well as to increase safety and labor productivity. The machine is equipped with the modern Fracta software of thanks to what labor input of carried-out operations will decrease resulting from it the laboratory carrying capacity by a number of carried-out tests will increase. The introduction of new equipment will improve the quality of manufactured products in accordance with the requirements of international standards.
During the month the equipment is planned to put into operation. The specialists of Instron company will provide necessary training of laboratory staff.
