Сентября 02, 2014

According to the Chief Engi-neer Grigory Ishchenko, the enterprise plans to carry out modernization of four large units by the end of the current year among of which three machining centers intended for machining large-size parts.

In particular, it concerns machines 6640F2, NS-33F2, Skoda-200. The works on them are performed by the specialists of Waldrich Coburg company (Germany) and Skoda company (Czech Republic) together with the repair services of "Turboatom".

Besides, the third stage of modernization of foundry production has begun in terms of which the enterprise started to install gas-cleaning plant and the first steel-making furnace in the foundry workshop (No. 50).

"Today all these units are in operation in a different degree of readiness. Their commissioning is planned for the fourth quarter of 2014", - noted Grigory Ishchenko.

In July 2014, the workshop of machining and welding production (No. 72) started performing works on the installation of surface-milling machine 6640F2. Previously, the equipment was dismantled and sent to Waldrich Coburg company (Germany) with the contract signed for carrying out overhaul. During the half a year, large units of the modernization of machine were reconstructed in Waldrich Coburg company. In July the equipment was supplied to the plant and then the specialists of the enterprise together with the German colleagues began assembling and installing 6640F2.

A new modern support will be installed on the machine, it is the main unit designed for fixing and moving cutting tools; a new five-axis universal head and a modern NC system of Siemens company (Gemany) will be installed as well.

The dimensions of working space of the machine are 4х4х12m; therefore parts of the corresponding sizes can be processed on the machine. "We plan to process all case-type parts and all parts of a complex profile of steam and hydraulic turbines, including cylinders, blades, vanes and everything that requires high precision and purity of processing", - says Grigoriy Ishchenko.

Resulting from the modernization, the passport data of the machine and its working capacity will be completely restored and improved. After carried out works the quality of processing parts will be increased, production cycles will be decreased and there will be an opportunity to uniformly distribute load on the existing equipment and to execute the current repairs of the unique equipment without suspension of production.
