Rusatom Overseas and Corporación América Signed Memorandum on Strategic Alliance in Nuclear

Rusatom Overseas and Argentine holding Corporación América signed Memorandum of Understanding in accordance with which both Parties state their intention to cooperate in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy within the framework of the strategic alliance.

The Memorandum was signed after the visit of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, to the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, and established cooperation between Corporacion America S.A. and JSC Rusatom Overseas, international branch of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM, in the implementation of potential nuclear projects in Argentina, including new nuclear power plant construction, radiation technologies and nuclear medicine projects. Also, in accordance with the Memorandum, the Parties intend to collaborate in promotion of floating nuclear power plants in Argentina and other countries.
