The unit was set up as a part of investment program aimed at launching own mining-equipment production. The Company got licensed by Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources’ for this type of activity, as well as it was authorised for disposal and technological regulations for self-rescuer’s recycling, which were coordinated with the manufacturers.
New processing facility is located at the territory of S.M. Kirova mine’s technological complex. It’s purpose is to dismantle decommissioned self-rescuers and cartridges for training devices. The decontamination of oxygenated product is also carried out there.
Disposal of each self-rescuer at own specialized facility is 50-80 rubbles cheaper, compared to closest market providers. Production capacity allows dismantling of 48,000 self-rescuers per year. Current yearly requirements of OJSC-Kuzbass is 6,5 thousands. Based on these circumstances the Management has already made agreements with the companies of Kuzbass region and outside of it to dispose of decommissioned self-rescuers that were used at work and during training sessions.
