Executives of ministries and agencies in charge participated in the Award Ceremony, including Vladimir Yakunin - President of JSC “RZD”, Sergei Shatirov - the deputy head of the Russia's Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy of The Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Sergei Novikov - Head of the Federal Tariff Service, top manager of Russia and foreign partner companies of Russian Railways.
Vadim Moroz, First Vice-President of JSC RZD, handed the prize to the winner of Best operator of non-public railways track nomination to Denis Ilatovsky, Logistics Director of OJSC “SUEK”.
“SUEK is the largest shipper on the RZD network; the shipments volume by railways in 2014 will exceed 80 million tons. In order to provide the shipment from coal companies SUEK manages 785,4 km of non-public railway tracks and its locomotive fleet consists of 196 units. SUEK also manages an open-car fleet of 22000 units, including 6000 innovative cars, noted Denis Ilatovsky. – Successful cooperation with RZD is essential to economic efficiency of our Company's enterprises. We are truly grateful for the Russian Railways appreciation of our cooperation. Over the last year we managed to solve a number of very complex problems together. For example, the delivery speed of our products has increased by 11%, which is a significant improvement. Car fleet management technologies at Vanino and Murmansk were upgraded, which increased the daily processing on port stations by 850 and 600 cars respectively. The number of route deliveries at SUEK in 2014 increased by 10% compared to 2013. Also, SUEK was an active participant in expert substantiation of reason to develop Easter Railways landfill”.
The “Partner of JSC Russian Railways” Award is established to improve interaction with industrial and transport companies, who are partners with JSC Russian Railways, further collaborate with other member of transport services, enhance the image of railways transport.
