Balakovskaya NPP has launched the turbine modernized by OJSC "Turboatom"

During the pre-commissioning, power and vibration characteristics and efficiency of the turbine were checked. All controlled parameters correspond to norms.

The turbine operates in a standard mode at rated load. There are no remarks on the part of the Customer in terms of the equipment operation, including condenser.

At Balakovskaya NPP "Turboatom" replaced a condenser of the turbine with the capacity of 1000 MW, tube systems of modular type condenser are performed ​​using titanium cooling tubes and titanium clad outer tube plates. The condenser consists of three cases including 6 modules in each one.

Resulting from the works carried out, the turbine capacity is expected to increase by 5 MW, its reliability and efficiency will increase as well.
