Belorusneft has acquired new experience in transporting fuel by water to satisfy domestic market needs

Pilot transportation of 657 t of diesel fuel (DT-L-K4) upon the order of RUE Belorusneft-Brestoblnefteproduct was carried out en route Mozyr – river port of Brest.

The Organizer of trial logistic project was CJSC Belarusian Oil Company (BNK), while the idea was preceded by the decision of Belarusian government on development of transportation and logistics schemes of shipping by inland water transport. Brest region is used as testing site because Brest and Mozyr are connected by the same waterway, which includes Pripyats and Mukhavets rivers linked via Dnieper-Bug Channel. The fuel was delivered by two fuel barges. Delivery time made up 12 days.
