Turboatom has completed the production of equipment for Kremenchugskaya HPP

At the moment, the installation of equipment is being performed at the power plant. The runner is reassembled, tested and lowered into a crater of hydraulic unit, the installation of guide vane and other mechanisms of the hydraulic turbine is being carried out.

According to the contract signed in July 2011, OJSC "Turboatom" will perform the reconstruction of three Kaplan turbines with nominal capacity of 58 MW with replacement of runners with the diameter of 8 m, hydroturbines shafts, blades of guide vane and bearings. Resulting from the work performed the capacity of each unit will increase up to 64 MW. The service life and interrepair period of equipment are expected to increase.

Delivery dates of the first turbine are 2014, the second one - 2015, the third one - 2016.

"Turboatom" has modernized the third turbine at Kremenchugskaya HPP; the fourth turbine is being manufactured. Earlier, in June 2009, after the reconstruction the first hydraulic unit was launched, in December 2012 - the second one.

Kremenchugskaya HPP is built on the Dnieper River and is the third stage of the cascade of hydraulic power plants in the territory of Ukraine. All 12 turbines installed at HPP are manufactured by OJSC "Turboatom", the first hydraulic unit was commissioned in 1959, the last one was put into operation in 1960.
