State-of-the-art software systems for 3D modelling of ore deposit structures and uranium in-situ leaching processes have been developed by the Seversky Institute of Technology – branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI. The project is being implemented within the framework of the programme for informatization of key technologies and nuclear facilities of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation.
Following the test results, a meeting, which included the participation of software developers and users, was held. The meeting participants had an opportunity to see an ore body structure and acid and uranium movements in a productive horizon on computer screens, as well as to assess efficiency of a geotechnical process. It was decided to put these systems in production.
“Application of these systems will enable us to enhance accuracy of reserve calculation, quality of operational block design and efficiency of development of the Dalmatovskoye and Khokhlovskoye uranium deposits,” noted Aleksandr Babkin, Chief Geotechnical Engineer, JSC Dalur.
