Andrey Federov, Executive Director of AO „SUEK-Krasnoyarsk“ said: “due to decrease in water levels at reservoirs of the region and pressure at hydroelectric power station the role of coal-fired generation has increased significantly. Though our companies were not working at full capacity over the past year, we managed to keep all the employees, maintain equipment and upgrade the support equipment. We also managed to provide accessed coal reserves, which enabled us to handle increased levels of production with ease. Out open-pit mines have high potential, they are ready to produce more, and we hope that today’s record is not the limit“.
The launch of the third power block at Berezovkaya power plant and general revivial of the industry are among the reasons of productional growth, as was noted by „SUEK-Krasniyarsk“executive director.
