The value of the company’s exports is estimated to have reached over USD 2.1 bln, with a total revenue in the global marketplace exceeding USD 2.2 bln – an increase of USD 200 mln on the figure posted for 2013. Nearly 50 deliveries have been made to customers in 12 countries.
The year 2014 saw the conclusion of 20 deals for the supply of uranium products with a total worth of nearly USD 0.8 bln.
The aggregate value of long-term order books at comparable prices is estimated at around USD 23 bln.
In 2014, TENEX settled all accounts under the contracts made in pursuance of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the United States of America Concerning the Disposition of Highly Enriched Uranium Extracted from Nuclear Weapons, dated 18 February 1993. The ultimate amount of foreign-currency revenue generated from this project – unprecedented in terms of scale, complexity, and duration – has exceeded USD 13 bln.
TENEX has fully discharged all obligations under its contract with the China Nuclear Energy Industry Company (CNEIC) for technical assistance in the construction of a fourth unit of a gaseous centrifuge uranium enrichment plant (GCP) in China with a capacity of 500,000 SWU/year – a protocol was signed on 31 July 2014 stating that the warranty period covering core GCP equipment had expired.
Three shipments of enriched uranium were dispatched from Vostochny Seaport in Russia’s Primorye Territory to the Republic of Korea, completing test runs of the new route for uranium product shipments to Asia Pacific countries. From 2015 onwards this route will be used on a regular basis.
As part of ongoing efforts to enhance marketing tools and increase the competitive strengths of Russian uranium products, work was continued to further develop the system of material accounts – in June and July 2014, TENEX concluded agreements for material accounts with South Korea’s KEPCO Nuclear Fuel and the US’s ConverDyn that helped further streamline the mechanisms for working with contract partners and increase flexibility in dealing with shared customers.
December 2014 saw a new certification audit confirm the compliance of TENEX’s integrated management system with the requirements of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 international standards. The audit was performed by Intercertifica-TÜV together with Germany’s certifying authority TÜV Thüringen e.V.
