The final results of the Company’s operation for 2014 have not been summarized yet at present time. However, the figures for the first 9 months of 2014 are high enough.
General Director of the Company answered numerous questions of the journalists. In particular, they were focused on development of the crude oil production strategy in the coming years. The long-range plans of the Company envisage stable crude oil production while maintaining the current production drilling volumes.
The interest of journalists was concentrated on the projects of developing extra-viscous oil fields. Currently, TATNEFT is implementing a set of research works and activities based on the experience gained in the study and development of the deposits of Ashalchinskoye extra-viscous oil field, and aimed at ensuring efficient production conditions. To ensure further activities implementation of the extra-viscous oil production the work is underway to increase the exploration degree of new EVO deposits and development of new high-efficiency equipment and technologies. It is assumed that the systematically planned development will allow bringing the production to 2 million tons of EVO per year with subsequent maintaining it at this level through developing of new EVO pools.
The media representatives also referred to the subject of shale oil field development. The project of oil production from low-permeable Domanik sediments or "shale oil" is at the stage of geological survey today. The project has started active development at Bavly oil field.
Many questions were addressed to the Director General on the operation of JSC TANECO. Nail Maganov pointed out that 2014 witnessed commissioning of a hydrocracking installation, hydrogen production installation and hydrogen-containing gas purification installation at JSC TANECO. The refinery had started production of Euro 5 diesel fuel and aviation kerosene.
The journalists were also interested in the Company’s plans of expanding the activities in the territories outside Tatarstan and Russia, as well as in the issues related to stimulation of extra-viscous oil refining, the Company’s social projects and other matters.
In particular, the question was raised about switching over the Company's charitable activities to a grants’ basis. Each applicant for the grant of TATNEFT shall have to prove the viability and importance of the project. This will allow selecting the most effective business plans on a competitive basis. The introduction of a new system of charitable activities will increase the cost-effectiveness of our social investments. And last but not least, the work will be based on the principles of competition, transparency and publicity.
